Week 4: Spet.29-Oct 3 Monday: Define the vocabulary words in the article that were listed in your "Clarification" reciprocal reading box. culturally, vital, adrift, refugee and compound. Tuesday: Summarize passage 1-3 citing the most important information from the text. Wednesday: Study writers notes for mastery exams Thursday: Summary for the article "Loss of Culturally Vital Cattle Leaves Dinka Tribe Adrift in Ruguee Camps.
Week 5: Oct 6- Oct 10 Monday: Word Generation words vocabulary worksheet. Select one box on worksheet to complete using NEW word generation vocabulary words. Tuesday: "A Long Walk To Water", 1) Briefly write some of Salva's most difficult encounters with nature since the start of his walk. 2) What does Uncle do to encourage Salva to keep walking and why is he forced to do this? 3) Explain how these changes affected/impacted Salva's life. Thursday: 1) Intervention Theme and central idea worksheet #4-8 2) MyOn reading select one book to start reading answer questions that follow read for 1 hour. Tuesday: (reading skill: Central Idea) Complete central idea worksheet passage with graphic organizer (if you did not complete package from last week) Wednesday: Primary resource worksheet on Africa. Use along with reciprocal reading chart. (If you are absent look online for any article about Africa create your own reciprocal reading chart and hand in for full credit) Thursday: (Word Generation) debating the issues Write down pro and con arguments based on the article. Use as many focus words as you can. Friday: Read on MYON for 2 hours you can spread out the hours (ex: friday night 45mins, saturday morning 30 mins etc) complete one reciprocal reading chart for the entire weekend.

Reciprocal reading chart Thursday: Debating the issue-- write down pro and con arguments based on the article. Use as many focus words as you can. Friday: Read MyOn for 2 hours!!!! You can spread out the hours (ex: Friday night 45 mins, Saturday 30mins etc....) be sure to fill in a reciprocal reading chart.
